Dr. John Keyes DMD
Dr Keyes attended the University of Lethbridge where he earned his BSc in biology. He then attended dental school at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from dental school in 2012, he completed a three-year residency and Master’s degree in Prosthodontics at the University of MinnesoJta, located in Minneapolis.
After completing his specialty training in Minnesota, John joined the practice of Vancouver Island Prosthodontics in April 2015. John is recognized by the College of Dental Surgeons of BC and is board certified to practice prosthodontics.
Dr. Brent Winnett DDS
Dr. Winnett has a MSc in Physiology from the University of Waterloo, a DDS from the University of Western Ontario, and a MSc in Prosthodontics from the University of Toronto. He is a Certified Specialist in Prosthodontics, a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, the Past President of the Association of Prosthodontists of Canada, and an Examiner in Prosthodontics for the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Winnett has been involved in clinical research in Prosthodontics and is a co-author of academic papers published in the refereed journals Clinical Oral Implant Research and the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants.
Dr. Jill Bashutski DDS (Special Guest Perio Speaker)
Jill Bashutski is a periodontist who practices full time in Regina, SK, Canada. She obtained her dental degree from Western University in London, Ontario. She later obtained her Certificate in Periodontology, Master’s of Science in Dentistry, and Lazzara Fellowship in Advanced Implant Therapy at the University of Michigan. She previously served as Acting Director of Graduate Periodontics and Director of Undergraduate Periodontics at the University of Michigan.
She currently serves as a senior editorial review board member for Implant Dentistry and the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Research and has authored over 30 articles and 5 book chapters on periodontics and implant dentistry, including a first-authored paper in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine. In 2015, she received the Junior Alumni of Distinction Award from Western University for her contributions to research and teaching.
